Budget shortfalls have put the brakes on a proposed pedestrian-pipe bridge for Trail.
While Trail city council was able to obtain funding from their sewer partners at the RDKB , initial projections of the cost of the bridge ( at around $10 million) fell well-short of the final tender price tag which came in at over $15 million.
Council has opted to cancel the project and look more deeply into where the shortfalls originated.
Mayor Mike Martin outlines what will take place in the review.
Martin says he’s disappointed in these developments, but his council will do the best they can to move forward.
