Improvements to Salmo’s KP Park are under way and included on the list of tasks is a brand new playground.
The original structure was torn down 2 and a half years ago due to safety concerns.
Salmo Chief Administrative Officer, Diane Kalen-Sukra explains how children in the area had a hand in choosing their new jungle gym.
Other upgrades include maintenance to fields as well as sand and waterlines to the campsites.
Funding for this $100,000 project was provided by Columbia Basin Trust, the RDCK, Western Financial and the Village of Salmo.
