There will be a public consultation Thursday at 4 pm at Trail city hall regarding the proposed pedestrian sewer bridge.
A full report explaining the financial rationale for a $14.5 million pipe and walkway will be presented.
The project will cost about $4 million more than first expected.
Mayor Mike Martin acknowledges some in the community are opposed to it.
The sewer pipe will cost the regional sewer partners $7.2 million – which will mean tax increases – although Trail hasn’t given details yet.
Trail alone will spend another $7.5 million on the walkway part.
