Young mountain bike enthusiasts are encouraged to go to Kinnaird Park in Castlegar Saturday equipped with a helmet, gloves and a positive attitude.

This for the Take A Kid Mountain Biking event which is hosted by the Castlegar Parks and Trails Society.

It goes from 12:30 pm  til 2 pm tomorrow.

Event organizer Mark Jennings wants to see this become an annual event.

One of the main attractions will be a skills clinic put on by the volunteering Kootenay mountain bike coaches.
