Groundbreaking ceremony for new bridge

Yesterday marked a monumental day in the saga that is the pipe-pedestrian bridge in Trail.

There was a groundbreaking ceremony to signal the official beginning of construction on the $14.5 million project.

Here’s Trail Mayor Mike Martin.


Those partners included City Hall representatives from Warfield and Rossland as well as the contractor, Graham Infrastructure.

Now that construction is underway, Martin says Trail City Council’s focus will be to ensure the bridge is on time and not over budget.
