There are mixed feelings on a proposed panhandling bylaw in Nelson.
That’s judging by what city council will see and hear tonight.
They’ve already passed two readings of the bylaw intended to address so-called “aggressive” panhandling.
But they held off on third reading and adoption to get more public feedback.
Tonight the Nelson committee on homelessness will deliver a 15 minute presentation to council.
There’s also a letter on the agenda from the Chamber Of Commerce which generally supports the bylaw.
And individual letters from several Nelson Business Association members, some in favour and some opposed.
