Clean-up booms found along Lemon Creek

Nearly ten months after the fuel spill on Lemon Creek some forgotten booms have been found along its banks.

Several lengths of the absorbent cotton material was discovered last week still smelling strongly of jet fuel.

Marilyn Burgoon of the Perry Ridge Water Users Association says it’s disturbing.

The Ministry of Environment has asked clean-up contractor Quantum Murray to remove the booms.
