RDCK mulls public home insurance

They’ve asked the Rural Development Institute at Selkirk College to study the idea.

Rural Castlegar Director Andy Davidoff says it could keep premiums down.

It’s partly in response to higher fire insurance premiums that Glade residents may be forced to pay.

The community was reclassified as semi-protected because it’s served by a cable ferry.
