Pend D’Oreille proposal meeting in Trail tonight

A reminder that outdoor enthusiasts and hunters will be able to learn more Monday night about the province’s plans to restrict motorized vehicle use in the Pend D’Oreille Valley.

A public meeting goes at the Charles Bailey Theatre in Trail tonight from 7 pm.

The ministry plans a new access management area in the valley which would reduce vehicle use to protect wildlife populations, habitats and sensitive ecosystems.

The ministry says a recent increase in off-road vehicle use and illegal trail building has damaged the area and compromised wildlife habitat.
