The global deal is done but Canada and BC needs to do more to prevent catastrophic climate impacts.
This from Montana Burgess the Community Organizer for the West Kootenay Eco Society.
She has been a delegate at this month’s talks in Paris.
As we await a Canada-wide plan in the next 90-days she does not want any lost momentum in getting off fossil fuels in the next 35 years.
Burgess says BC has a moral and historical obligation to follow the Vancouver lead in going to 100% renewables.
She says many communities in this province have put a lot carbon into the atmosphere.
