Official management plans are now in place for four new regional parks in our area.
All visitors to these public spaces will be expected to respect things like sensitive environmental values, rules around dogs, river safety and alcohol use.
Crescent Valley Beach is one of them.
Rural Director in the Slocan Valley Walter Popoff says it will be an educational process.
Popoff says ultimately there may need to be RDCK bylaw enforcement staff to help monitor things but local stewardship groups will also be involved.
The new parks are at Crescent Valley Beach, Balfour Beach, Waterloo Eddy and Pass Creek.
