We can expect to see the roll out of two paramedicine teams in our region as early as January.
This from Rural Director Larry Binks who says he’s been assured of a unit for Creston and area and another for Kaslo and the Slocan Valley.
The newly trained special paramedics will work in conjunction with nursing teams in providing regular house-call care to many patients.
Interior Health is slowly rolling out around 80 newly trained paramedicine professionals across rural BC, and ultimately up to 26 of them are expected across the Kootenay Boundary.
