The Boundary is getting a boost to Early Years development.
The Family and Individual Services Society has secured funding from the province to expand programming and outreach to families with kids up to six years old.
Program Supervisor in Grand Forks Ellen Strelaeff says their plans include bringing in more peer mentors.
They also plan to add play-therapy for parents and their special needs children.
The Early Years programming is available at the Glanville Building in Grand Forks and as part of existing offerings elsewhere in the Boundary.
