A free skill-based work training program is being launched in Castlegar after it enjoyed immediate success in nelson.
The RAFT program – which stands for Retail, Accommodations and Food Service Training will be available next month.
Project Manager Katt Britton says it’s all about filling local job vacancies.
The full-time employment training also involves Foodsafe, first aid and other skills.
Eight spaces are available – anyone interested should contact Kootenay Career Development Society in Castlegar.
They recently worked with eleven trainees in Nelson and most secure local employment.
