The popular pull-out area for kayakers,tubers and floaters on the Slocan River is now officially a regional park.
Crescent Valley Beach includes 300-metres of waterfront.
Area H Director Walter Popoff says public safety is a priority with parked vehicles on the road causing a danger to users and through-traffic.
Getting washrooms is also a priority.
The land was donated by the private owner to the RDCK back in 2011.
