Local student sent packing with travel scholarship

Congratulations to local teen Elise Hewat.

The grade 12 student at JV Humphries in Kaslo has won a North America-wide scholarship offered by student travel company S Trip.

After making it to the finals of the online competition she really upped her social media game.

Entrants have to reflect their passion for travel.


The prize includes $2,500 towards university tuition, a paid internship at the Toronto-based company and a week long trip.
