Spring freshet has come early to our neck of the woods.
The warm temperatures following a wet March have seen most of the low to mid elevation snowpack melt.
Tobi Gardner- a hydrologist with the BC River Forecast Centre – says we’re about three weeks ahead of the norm.
There are no Streamflow Advisories or Warnings just yet but officials are monitoring the situation.
Gardner says the next two months are their primary focus but they’re also very aware of the potential for low flows this summer.
That’s if we don’t see enough spring rains.
