Water system needed for Johnsons Landing

A Regional District Director is appealing to her colleagues to help Johnsons Landing residents.

Gar Creek water users have been working since the deadly landslide of 2012 to develop a new water system.

Director Amie Watson says in the meantime they’ve been putting themselves at risk.

A new $350,000 system was expected to be cost shared by three levels of government.

But a change in federal rules threatens to send the project back to the drawing board.

Watson is asking her fellow directors to chip in.
