The Kootenay Lake School Board may sign off on its controversial facilities plan Tuesday evening.
Several schools in the district are facing possible closure with many reconfiguration options also part of the mix.
These are among the measures the board needs to take to fund public education and ensure money is being spent in the classroom and not on old, under-used spaces.
The draft plan suggests closing Trafalgar Middle School in nelson and rebuilding South Nelson Elementary.
In the Slocan Valley either Winlaw Elementary or WE Graham may be shut, while the Creston Education Centre is slated for possible closure.
Trustees meet in Nelson at 5 pm today.
