Nelson’s Civic Arena will be turned over to the Regional District Of Central Kootenay to operate.
The sports council has decided it can’t continue to look after the 81-year-old facility.
Rec Commission Chair Valerie Warmington thinks there may be advantages to the new arranagement.
The RDCK already operates the nelson and district community complex next door.
