Grand Forks is going extra eco-friendly with a new replacement working vehicle.
The electric Might-E Truck will take the place of a twenty year old pick-up and will be the first of its kind in the region.
Manager of Operations David Reid describes the type of short distance work it can handle.
Public works were granted a bigger budget by council to go for the greener option.
Reid says the gas savings will pay for itself in the long run and going electric is part of the city’s environmental plans.
It should be on the road by the fall.
