Not much sleep for the Nakusp fire department and other first responders this weekend.
They tackled a big blaze at Box Lake Lumber on Friday as well as a house fire and other calls.
Chief Terry Warren says the mill fire started in a loader parked next to the scale shed and spread to the bush.
The BCÂ Wildfire Service responded with a helicopter and tankers as the fire grew to 1.5 hectares.
Meanwhile, no one was hurt in a house fire in Nakusp on Saturday morning but the structure may be a total loss.
