Warfield by-election a low-spending affair

There was no obvious relationship between money and votes in the Warfield by-election.

Financial disclosure documents released by Elections BC show the winner spent nothing on her campaign.

Arlene Parkinson topped the polls on April 9 without spending a single cent.

Nicole Caputo — who finished fourth — didn’t spend anything either.

Second-place finisher Brad Janzen spent about $150 and third-place finisher John Crozier $785.
