Federal prosecutors only have a few days left to decide whether to lay charges in the Lemon Creek fuel spill.
The deadline is Tuesday — three years after a truck spilled 33,000Â litres of jet fuel into the creek.
Local resident Marilyn Burgoon — who initiated the prosecution privately — says she’s not giving up.
Prosecutors haven’t given any indication which way they’re leaning.
But Burgoon hopes the BC government and company involved will both be charged under the federal Fisheries Act.
