Castlegar Millenium "ponds" see extra off-shoot feature

In addition to the three swimming pond project being constructed in Castlegar’s Millennium Park there has been a fourth inlet created that will offer multiple benefits to the area.

CAO John Malcolm says as they’ve been making the Aqua attraction they’ve been taking sand from further down into the park near the pedestrian bridge.

And that’s improved the location.

 

Malcolm says the move was planned from the beginning and received approval from the province.

He adds it will also planned to offer a quieter space as an option to the new ponds.
