Keenleyside lock to close Sept. 19 to Oct. 5

The navigational lock on the Hugh Keenleyside dam near Castlegar will close for maintenance starting next week.

BC Hydro’s Mary Anne Coules says it will be out of service from Sept. 19 to Oct. 5.

The lock is mainly used by Zellstoff Celgar and Interfor to bring logs down the Arrow Lakes.
