Montrose has secured funding for its wastewater treatment plant upgrade.
The federal and provincial governments will provide more than $650,000 for the project.
Mayor Joe Danchuk says it’ll help fix the village’s rapid infiltration basins and drainage system.
The village’s share of the project is $134,000.
Danchuk says work would’ve gone ahead even without the grants so this is a great boon.
Montrose is also seeking funds through the same program for their water tanks.
