BC Government seeking input on electoral reform

BC residents have one month to add their voice to an electoral reform survey.

The survey is asking questions to shape the upcoming referendum.

Nelson-Creston MLA Michelle Mungall says the it asks what changes BC residents would like to see in the way we vote.

The provincial government has done two previous referendums on specific electoral systems.

Mungall says they’ve heard they need to look at electoral reform so it’s not just a few people getting 100 percent of the power.

The survey is open until February 28th.

The referendum is set to be held no later than November.
