The professor for Selkirk College’s Early Childhood Care and Education program is pleased with the provincial government’s pledge to invest in child care.
Taya Whitehead hopes this will entice more students to enter the program and continue working in the child care sector.
She says the investment should create more jobs across the province.
The investment was announced in last week’s NDP provincial budget.
Whitehead hopes this help address BC’s child care crisis.
