The Regional District of Central Kootenay has approved the recreation commission’s resolution to cut it’s borrowing request to $22 million for Castlegar rec complex upgrades.
The project is estimated to cost over $32 million.
The commission will seek grant funding to cover the remaining costs if the project moves forward.
Its fate hangs in the balance of a referendum in June.
