Zellstoff Celgar’s owners have lost another round in court with the Province.
They were arguing over the amount they owed in property transfer taxes after buying the Castlegar pulp mill.
The company figured it was about $287,000 but the Ministry of Small Business said it was over $4.5 million.
A judge last year ruled in the government’s favour and now the BC Court of Appeal has upheld that decision.
