Petten pots hat-trick including OT winner

A veteran for the Castlegar Rebels is looking to work hard and lead by example on the score sheet this season.Forward Aaron Petten is in his third year with the Rebels and contributed significantly to the team’s 2012-2013 championship season.

He netted three goals – including the overtime winner – in Tuesday night’s 4-3 victory over the Beaver Valley Nite Hawks.

The win was Castlegar’s first of the campaign after two straight losses out of the gate.

The Rebels host the Spokane Braves Friday.
