Fiery start for Smokies

The Trail Smoke Eaters were undefeated at the BCHL showcase in Chilliwack this weekend.

Trail starts the year with four points after crushing Coquitlam 8-3 Saturday and edging Powell River 4-3 in overtime Sunday.

Defenseman Viktor Dumbrovskiy was the OT hero to cap off a six point weekend.

The orange and black make their 2014-2015 Cominco Arena debut Friday when they host the Penticton Vees.
