After 23 years in local politics – a Castlegar city councillor will not be seeking re-election in the November civic vote.
Gord Turner has announced he will step down after 14 years around the table.
He says highlights include the co-operation among council, building the new city hall without borrowing money, and the Millennium Ponds among other things.
Turner was also a local school trustee for nine years.
He has taught at Selkirk College for over three decades.
