A very candid mayor of Grand Forks has been talking ahead of his bid for a third consecutive term at the head of council.
It’s been a difficult past year as the city pushed ahead with water metering amidst strong opposition from some.
Brian Taylor says you’re never going to please everyone.
Taylor – who is being challenged by two-term councillor Cher Wyers – says the positive momentum in the community requires diligence and he hopes voters stay the course with him as mayor.
Somewhat tongue-in-cheek he says “it has taken a long time to train me”(in the job as mayor) and he now has a lot of contacts and experience to take Grand Forks through the next four years.
