The outgoing mayor of Rossland says he accepts the will of the people.
Voters firmly rejected the presence of incumbent mayor Greg Granstrom at the future council table.
He’d become deeply unpopular for being at the helm during the recent financial mismanagement mess that attracted the attention of the auditor general for local government.
Granstrom even withdrew from the mayoral race knowing his chances of beating eventual winner Kathy Moore would be slim.
He ended up finishing last among all councillor candidates and acknowledges the sentiment among the public.
Granstrom had served at the Rossland council table for nine years.
