She’s not yet officially the mayor of Nelson but Deb Kozak -who won Saturday’s election -has already made a very clear statement of intent.
Kozak got up from her council seat at Monday night’s meeting to thank and shake the hand of a citizen who regularly comes forward to attack council’s actions or inactions. But he does it in a hostile way.
Kozak suggested he present his concerns in a cheerier vane in future.
Kozak campaigned on the need for all voices to be heard at the council table.
Defeated mayor John Dooley was not at Monday night’s meeting.
