Flood risk downgraded across region

The BC River Forecast Centre has ended the flood watches and high streamflow advisories that were in effect across our region.

Rain is in the forecast for a couple of days, but will then warm up to temperatures in the high 20s.

According to the BC River Forecast Centre, snowfall and rainfall runoff have eased up across most of the province.

The Boundary, West Kootenay and Upper Columbia Regions were all under a flood watch.

The East Kootenay was under a high streamflow advisory.

They were all downgraded on Wednesday.

You should still be extra cautious around bodies of water, especially rivers as conditions could still change.
