Bench warrant issued for Castlegar arson suspect

A man accused of starting a fire downtown Castlegar was a no-show in court this week.

A bench warrant has been issued for Riley Jackson, 28, after he failed to appear Wednesday.

He’s charged with arson in a June 4 incident where some wooden pallets burned behind a business.

But the fire put itself out with minimal damage.
