The cause of a house fire in Trail this morning is under investigation by firefighters and RCMP.
Regional Fire and Rescue said it was called at 2:11 a.m. to 138 Reservoir Road and found the home fully involved.
“Due to a quick response the fire was knocked down quickly,” deputy chief Glen Gallamore said, adding that they prevented it from spreading to neighbouring homes.
The residents weren’t home at the time and there were no injuries to firefighters.
Nineteen firefighters responded and had the fire under control in just under two hours.
No damage estimate was provided.
BC Assessment says the home was built in 1914.
