New home for Kootenay Festival

Castlegar’s annual Kootenay Festival has a new home.

Organizers have obtained the permits to move the popular event from the lands across from the West Kootenay Regional Airport to Millennium Park.

We asked Festival Chair Audrey Maxwell Polovnikoff why the decision now after four years?

Maxwell Polovnikoff says moving the festival grounds into the city should also allow more families and nearby residents simply to walk to the event.

The fifth annual Kootenay Festival goes Saturday July 25th.
