If Friday, September 6, felt hot, you’re not wrong.
Trail set a new daily maximum temperature record of 36 degrees, previously 35 degrees set in 1998. The warmest record breaking temperature for the day.
More than a dozen temperature records were broken across British Columbia on Friday according to Environment Canada’s preliminary data.
Some of the old records went back decades, and a couple close to a century.
Looking ahead, a few more hot days are on tap before heading into next wee, where most of the province is expected to see cooler weather.
