More flights this winter and holiday season from Trail Airport

Its time to start considering your winter and Christmas travel with sales and extra flights planned for Trail Airport with Pacific Coastal Airlines.

Pacific Coastal Airlines has announced an expansion for its winter and Christmas schedules, designed to offer increased convenience and flexibility for travellers.

According to Johnathan Richardson, Vice President, Customer & Commercial, this is a significant increase for people flying in and out of Trail.

“We’re going to be offering two daily flights, Sunday through Friday, as well as one on Saturdays, but all of our flights will now be operated on our larger Saab 340 aircraft. So, this represents about a 66 percent increase in seat capacity, and that translates into more seats for community to book, as well as at lower fares.”

The schedule will be in effect from October 27 through to April 26, 2025.

Air travel uncertainly at ease

With a lot of uncertainly around air travel over the holidays, Richardson assures travellers can count on Pacific Coastal Airlines.

“Pacific Coast Airlines is a non-unionized workforce. We still take a lot of pride at improving our operational reliability.”

“Both our commercial and our operational teams have been working to ensure that our flight schedules that we publish are very robust and reliable.”

“Back in February of this year, we introduced new aircraft sparing parameters so that we could ensure we’re not overcommitted in our scheduled offering and that we actually do have spare aircraft to utilize if required.”

“Since those changes, we’ve seen a significant reduction in controllable flight cancellations and most recently we completed our August schedule at a 99 .6 percent flight completion factor. So, we’re really proud of offering a very reliable schedule throughout the province of BC.”

Now is the time to book

In conjunction with the additional seat capacity to the Trail Airport, the airline tickets are currently on sale, but not for much longer.

“We are running concurrently a 25% off seat sale across our network for all flights booked by Sunday, September 22nd for travel over our winter holiday schedule.”
