Reservoir improvements for Trail

The City of Trail is making improvements to get the Green Gables Reservoir to 100% capacity.

They’ll spend nearly $190,000  – allocated from last year’s budget – to modify the Bear Creak Well Water valves – allowing for very high pressure water from the infrastructure.

City Engineering Technician Warren Proulx says filling the reservoir will allow for future development in the Waneta Junction area.

Proulx says several people have shown interest in residential development in the subdivision behind Canadian Tire.

The reservoir provides fire protection for that store as well as the Wal-mart .
