Confluence Jiu Jitsu Takes ‘All vs All’ Crown

Confluence Jiu Jitsu captured the top spot in the team rankings of the ‘All vs All Ultra’ event in Burnaby on November 30.

Ten competitors from the Castlegar club combined for over 60 matches on the day against opponents from all over the province. At the end of a 10 hour day Team Confluence brought home 9 gold, 7 silver, and 3 bronze medals, and best of all, the coveted 1st place Adult Team Trophy.

Other highlights included Chelsea Norman and Kierra Cates winning their respective Pro Division championships, leading to the pair both being ranked number one by the AVA Online rankings in their respective weight classes, and Irie Anderson submitting the number 3 ranked pro male athlete.

The AVA Event capped off the 2024 season for the club with great results in Kelowna, Creston, and Vancouver tournaments, as the team now readies for new challenges in 2025.
