The BC Conservation Service has put down four cougars at Four Mile on Nelson’s North shore.
Conservation officer Jason Hawkes says they believe it was a family they’ve been hearing about for some time.
Hawkes says they decided if the behaviour continued the cougars would be destroyed.
One was killed Sunday and three others Monday in the interest of public safety.
They were an adult female, a young female, and two young males.
