Trail air cadet Corporal Tyler Denny showed exemplary skill in a recent West-Kootenay marksmanship competition held this past week at the Kemball (Trail) Armoury.
The member of the 531 Trail Royal Canadian Air Cadet squadron’s range team performed exceptionally, scoring 330 out of the possible 400 points in competition.
The 13-year-old grade 8 student, who has been in the program for a year and a half, continues to showcase skill and dedication. Denny’s favorite aspects of the Cadet program include the overnight field training exercises and military components; however, his favorite experience has been participating in the marksmanship program.
The Trail Air Cadet squadron meets every Wednesday evening at the Kemball (Trail) Armoury and occasionally on weekends throughout the year.
