Trail business says city bullied them

The city of Trail has been bullying the owners of a local business.

This from Casey LeMoel with the Gulch GeneralĀ  Store on Rossland Avenue.

The city is threatening not toĀ renew the store’s business licenses saying the owners made changes to the buildings but didn’t get the proper permits.

LeMoel says they have all the proper permits in place.

The City argues the owners created a food service area with seating that goes beyond what they are allowed to do.

Council has already directed staff to put a notice of title on the business to alert the public they are operating without proper permits.
