Trail approves community garden

Trail city council has approved a revised proposal to get a community garden up and running.

The Edible Landscape Committee clarified to council this week they were planning a community food bank garden – rather than one where residents use planters to grow their own food.

Councillor Carol Dobie says these are the type of initiatives council will try to continue to support.

The committee also revised preparation costs for the Rossland Avenue proprety near Piazza Colombo Park – dropping the price tag from over $15,000 to roughly $6,200.

They also addressed wildlife attractant and watering issues .
