The Castlegar branch of Finning Tractor is one of six in western Canada set to close.
Company spokeswoman Hilary Anaka confirms the last day will be April 17.
Anaka says they’ll continue to have a mechanic based in the area as well as a drop box for parts.
But the next closest branch is in Cranbrook.
Finning opened in Nelson in 1937 and moved to its present location next to the Castlegar airport in 2002.
The company hasn’t explained the closure but insists it’s not a reflection on the branch’s financial performance.
